 The domain *JioHotstar.com* has been officially transferred to Reliance for free by Dubai-based siblings Jainam and Jivika. The domain had previously gained attention when it was initially registered by a developer in Delhi, anticipating its potential value due to Reliance's merger with Disney's Star India. The siblings later acquired the domain and decided to hand it over to Reliance without compensation, clarifying that there was no deal or external pressure involved.


This transfer coincides with the integration of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar under a new brand, likely called **Jio Star**, as part of Reliance and Disney's larger collaboration. The new platform is expected to simplify access to streaming content while retaining some exclusives, like IPL streaming, on Disney's Hotstar.
